Allianz Insurance Singapore Introduces Outpatient Reimbursement Benefit for Policyholders Affected by Haze

For over a month now, Singapore residents have been navigating the effects of prolonged haze conditions. Beyond reduced visibility and the familiar smell of smoke in the air, many are experiencing real health impacts. GP clinics across the island have seen a rise in patients presenting with respiratory discomfort, irritated eyes, and skin reactions linked to poor air quality.

Recognising the toll that haze season is taking on everyday health, Allianz Insurance Singapore has introduced a special haze benefit: a one-time reimbursement of up to S$50 for outpatient medical treatment of haze-related conditions.

Who Is Eligible for the Special Benefit?

Insured persons aged 18 and above with an active Allianz Accident Protect Plus or Allianz Hospital Income Protect plan can tap on this benefit for treatment received between 16 October 2026 and 15 November 2026.

The reimbursement covers outpatient visits for haze-related conditions such as respiratory symptoms, eye irritation, and skin irritation, as assessed by a registered medical practitioner. Those on family plans can take comfort in knowing that each eligible family member has their own allocation of the reimbursement benefit of up to S$50.

Recently purchased your policy? You are still entitled to this benefit, provided your medical treatment takes place at least one day after the policy effective date.

Why This Matters

For Allianz, true protection is not just about being there for the major moments. It is also about supporting customers through the everyday health concerns that come with living in Singapore, including the realities of haze season. This benefit is a meaningful way for Allianz to do exactly that.
