1.Join SusHi Tech Tokyo, Asia’s largest innovation conference

Held annually in Tokyo around April and May, SusHi Tech Tokyo is Asia’s largest innovation conference, envisioning the future of sustainable cities.

Through the Tokyo Gov social media accounts, event highlights are shared in Reels and collaborative posts with international influencers, offering a dynamic look into the conference. This year, influencer Kawaii Coco (Instagram: @kawaiiicoco) also joined the event, sharing her experience with followers worldwide.

The next SusHi Tech Tokyo is scheduled to take place from Monday, April 27 to Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Aiming to ensure “Safety for the Next 100 Years” the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is accelerating initiatives to build a resilient and sustainable city. Last year, Tokyo Gov collaborated with influencer Yamatrips (Instagram: @yamatrips) to feature a behind-the-scenes video exploring the massive underground tunnel system that protects the city from flooding.

Tokyo Gov spoke with three foreign residents living in Japan to learn about their honest impressions of life in Tokyo—what makes it an easy city to work and live in, and what unique charms they’ve discovered from an international perspective. One interviewee, a woman from India currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Japan, shared how she has experienced Tokyo’s diversity, openness, and abundance of business opportunities, as well as the chance to gain valuable internship experience in an international academic environment.
