Singapore
– October 13, 2025 –
Fourier proudly participated
in the Singapore Health & Biomedical Congress (SHBC) 2025, one of Asia’s
most influential gatherings of healthcare professionals, innovators, and
researchers. The event served as a premier platform for leaders shaping the
future of healthcare innovation. Alex Gu, the founder and Chief Executive
Officer of Fourier, was invited to deliver keynote titled “Disruptive
by Design: A Visionary Engineering the Future of Healthcare.”
Gracing
the opening ceremony was Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of
Health & Ministry of Manpower.

In
his session, Gu explored how purposeful engineering and innovation are
reshaping rehabilitation and healthcare delivery. Drawing on Fourier’s
pioneering advancements in intelligent rehabilitation robotics, he elaborated
on how technology—when designed with human needs at its core—can drive
transformative improvements in patient outcomes and clinical efficiency. He emphasized that guided
by the concept of human-centric embodied AI, Fourier’s long-term strategy
focuses on advancing robotics across four key real-world
scenarios: commercial services, rehabilitation and wellness care, academic
research and education, and industrial efficiency.

At
SHBC 2025, Fourier showcased the GR-2 humanoid robot from its advanced robotics
portfolio. During live demonstrations, attendees witnessed firsthand how it can
be integrated into clinical workflows, equipping therapists with powerful tools
to personalize rehabilitation programs. It highlighted Fourier’s participation
in a pilot project driven by NHG Health and Injewelme, exploring how the
humanoid robot can be integrated with a Remote Photoplethysmography (rPPG) for
future use.

Another highlight that drew
significant attention during the event is
Fourier’s newly debuted “Embodied Intelligence Rehabilitation Hub,” which
centers on the GRx series humanoid robots. This concept integrates multimodal
perception, large language models, motion control technology, and healthcare scenario
requirements to form a cutting-edge robotic rehabilitation solution.

It
features five major training modules: guidance and consultation, upper limb
rehabilitation, cognitive rehabilitation, lower limb rehabilitation, and remote
rehabilitation, offering an integrated approach to rehabilitation training,
assistive care, and emotional companionship. The Embodied Intelligence
Rehabilitation Hub aims to create a more attentive, intelligent, and efficient
rehabilitation training experience.

“Fourier’s
mission has always been to leverage full-stack robotics technology to enrich
people’s lives. By combining innovation with empathy, we empower clinicians to
deliver superior outcomes while making rehabilitation a more engaging and
effective experience for patients,” said Alex Gu, Founder & CEO of
Fourier.

Owen
Teoh, Managing Director of Fourier Rehab International Division, also added:
“At the heart of our mission is the belief that everyone deserves access to
advanced, effective rehab solutions regardless of geography. With aligned goals
with our corporate group (Fourier), we aim to bridge global markets with
patient-centered innovation. Through our ongoing efforts, we not only strive to
expand our presence but also to create a meaningful impact for patients and
practitioners worldwide.”

Through
their presence at SHBC 2025, Fourier reaffirms its commitment to advancing
intelligent rehabilitation globally, forging strategic partnerships with
visionary clinicians, researchers, and healthcare institutions united in
creating a more integrated, efficient, and patient-centered care ecosystem.
